The adage in the WCHA is “split on the road and sweep at home.” The Huskies are coming off a six game home-stand in which they went 2-3-1 and won’t be back to the National Hockey Center until Dec. 10. Hostile enemy confines can be intimidating, but sometimes playing well and stealing points on the road can be the best medicine for a team struggling to find its stride. This week, SCSU will travel north to Alaska and that might be what the Huskies need to turn things around. I always liked going on the road and here are a few reasons why.
